Black Night Pages

Hello all, I hope you're all loving the new year.

Here are the first two pages I have done for the next Islander Art Magazine comic type thing, since it's titled Black Night, I went for a scary story.

The story itself is an old campfire story, I just padded it out a bit.

I tried using the Loomis method of skewed perspective and jagged shapes to create an unsettled feeling throughout.

I also added a layer of noise over the inks to help it match the font I chose as well as make it a bit more rustic and remove the clean finish of digital inks.

Comic book cover

I got a commission recently to draw someone as a superhero on their own comic cover so I thought I would post my process for it.
When I first got it I started sketching straight away without knowing what the guy looked like just that he liked Castiel from Supernatural and wings in general, along with other superhero stuff and swords.

After getting some pictures to work from I started doing more sketches

The person that made the commission liked the one with the sword so I worked that out some more.

With the pose settled on, I started fleshing it out more and practicing on the likeness.

I did the inking in paint tool sai and then took it over to photoshop for colour and text.

Hannibal page 2

The second and last page of the Hannibal comic, Im not terribly pleased with it, but I just want it done now so this is it I think. Maybe Ill wake up in a good mood before it needs to be handed in and do more to it.
For those of you that cant read it:
Hannibal: Is that what I said
Margot: Yes, I was crying - Do you remember what you told me
Hannibal: That you were no more at fault for what happened -
Margot: - than if I had been bitten on the behind by a mad dog
You made it easy for me then, and I appreciated it for a while
Hannibal: If you try, you can remember everything we ever said, remember -
Margot: PLEASE DONT BEG ME NOW

So thats it, I had to abbreviate the conversation some just to fit it on the page, but you get the gist
